History of our school
Capriccio! Arts Powered Pre-school was founded by Elbe van der Walt-Webber and Thornley Webber in 2013.
Our innovative, holistic approach to education is specifically designed to provide learners with an enriched curriculum, incorporating elements of Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilio and CAPS (the official national curriculum prescribed by the Department of Basic Education in South Africa), against the backdrop of our Christian ethos.
In 2019, with Capriccio! Arts Powered Pre-school now having been in successful operation for six years, we are accommodating our first group of Grade 1 pupils. We are planning to gradually progress with our learners to the following grade each year, until we are able to offer primary education up to Grade 7.
Currently, Capriccio! Arts Powered Preparatory is sharing premises with Capriccio! Arts Powered Pre-school, which enables us to utilize educational facilities such as a performing arts studio, outdoor and semi-outdoor education areas, in addition to the classroom.
We have future plans in place to expand our Preparatory campus onto the premises adjacent to our pre-school, in order to facilitate its growth in years to come.
